Auxiliary heating/ventilation*
The indicator lamps in the button may light
up in blue, red or yellow.
왘 Make sure that the ignition is not
switched on.
왘 Slide rocker switch 1 up or down.
The red or blue indicator lamp in rocker
button 1 is lit. The auxiliary heating or
ventilation is switched on.
Remote control
The remote control has a maximum range
of approximately 300 metres. The range
may be reduced by:
ì•« sources of radio interference
ì•« solid objects between the remote con-
trol and the vehicle
ì•« the remote control being in an unfa-
vourable position in relation to the ve-
hicle
ì•« transmitting from an enclosed space
i The optimum range can only be achieved if
you hold the remote control vertically upwards
when you press one of the buttons. Your vehi-
cle’s equipment includes one remote control.
Two more remote controls may be used for each
vehicle. For further information, consult a quali-
fied specialist workshop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz
Service Centre.

4 Indicator lamp
왘 Press and hold the ON button until in-
dicator lamp 4 in the remote control
lights up in green.
The red or the blue indicator lamp in
the button on the centre console is lit.
The auxiliary heating or ventilation is
switched on.
i The indicator lamp on the remote control in-
forms you
ì•« whether a signal has been transmitted to the
auxiliary heating or ventilation.
The signal has been interrupted if the indica-
tor lamp on the remote control flashes green
when switching on or red when switching off.
If this occurs, repeat the procedure. Stand
somewhere else or move closer to the vehi-
cle if necessary.
ì•« about the remote control battery charge sta-
tus:
If the remote control indicator lamp first
lights up orange when you press one of the
buttons, the battery is almost discharged. If
the remote control indicator lamp only flash-
es orange when you press one of the but-
tons, the battery is discharged. It is no longer
possible to switch the auxiliary heating or
ventilation on or off using the remote con-
trol. Replace the battery (
