Switching on the rear foglamp
왘 Pull the light switch out to the second
stop.
The †yellow rear foglamp indicator
lamp next to the light switch lights up.
1 To clean the headlamps
왘 Make sure that the key is in position 2
in the ignition lock.
왘 Press button 1 briefly.
The headlamps are cleaned with a high-
pressure water jet.
i The headlamps are cleaned automatically if
at the same time:
ì•« the engine is running
ì•« the lights are switched on
ì•« you have wiped with washer fluid fifteen
times
If you switch off the ignition or press button 1,
the automatic headlamp cleaning mode is reset
and counting is resumed from 0.

왘 Turn the light switch to B or *

왘 Push the combination switch in the di-
rection of arrow 1.
The main-beam headlamps come on.
The A main-beam indicator lamp in
the instrument cluster lights up.
Headlamp flasher
왘 Pull the combination switch briefly in
the direction of arrow 2.
Special headlamps fulfil the function of
cornering lights. In tight corners, they light
up the area of the road into which you are
turning.
왘 Make sure that the engine is running.
왘 Make sure that the dipped-beam head-
lamps are switched on when it is dark
(
컄 page 277).
i If you are driving slower than 40 km/h, the
cornering light is switched on by both the turn
signal and a steering-wheel angle. If you are driv-
ing between 40 km/h and 70 km/h, the corner-
ing light is only switched on by a steering-wheel
angle. Above 70 km/h, the cornering light is
switched off.
