Problem Possible cause Suggested solutions
The indicator lamp in the rear window
heating rocker switch is flashing. The rear
window heating has switched itself off
prematurely or cannot be switched on.
There is insufficient voltage because too
many consumers are switched on, e.g.
reading lamps, interior lighting.
왘 Switch off consumers that are not re-
quired, e.g. reading lamps, interior light-
ing.
The rear window heating will automati-
cally switch back on as soon as there is
sufficient voltage again.
The cooling system cannot be switched on
using COMAND.
The cooling system is losing refrigerant. 왘 Have the automatic air conditioning
checked at a qualified specialist work-
shop.
The 9 warning lamp to the right
of the instrument cluster is lit.
A child seat is fitted to the front-passen-
ger seat. The front-passenger airbag has
therefore been deactivated.
G Risk of injury
If there is no child seat fitted to the front-
passenger seat, the child seat recognition
has malfunctioned.
왘 Remove transponder cards, e.g. ski
passes, from the vicinity of the seat
cushion.
왘 Have the child seat recognition checked
at a qualified specialist workshop.
