Always have maintenance work carried out
at a qualified specialist workshop which has
the necessary specialist knowledge and
tools to carry out the work required.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre for this pur-
pose.
In particular, work relevant to safety or on
safety-related systems must be carried out
at a qualified specialist workshop. There is a
risk of an accident and injury if this work is
carried out incorrectly.

Distronic* is deactivated and is tem-
porarily not operational.
Distronic* is deactivated if:
ì•« the Distronic* cover in the radia-
tor grille is dirty
ì•« its function is impaired as a result
of heavy precipitation or fog
ì•« its radar sensor system is tempo-
rarily not operational, e.g. due to
electromagnetic radiation
왘 Clean the Distronic* cover in the radiator
grille (

왘 Restart the vehicle.
Distronic* will be operational again without
you needing to restart the engine if:
ì•« the dirt (e.g. slush) loosens while you are
driving
ì•« the system detects that the sensors are
fully available again
ì•« the message in the multi-function display
disappears
You can operate Distronic* again in the usual
way.
DISTRONIC inoperative Distronic* is faulty. 왘 Have Distronic* checked at a qualified
specialist workshop.
