CYLINDER HEADNALVES
Do not reuse the Remove the gasket [1] and dowel pins [2].
old gasket. Remove the cam chain guide [3].
To prevent loss of
tension, do not
compress the valve
springs more than
necessary to
remove the cotters.
Mark all parts
during disassembly
so they can be
placed
back in their
original locations.

DISASSEMBLY
Remove the bolts [1] and water pump holder [2].
Remove the valve cotters
[1] using the special tool.

Remove the valve spring compressor and remove the
following:
- Valve spring retainers
[1]
- Valve springs [2]
- Valve spring seats [3]
- Valves [4]
- Valve stem seals
