Measure the free length of the valve springs.
STANDARD: IN/EX: 36.94 mm (1.454 in)
VALVE/VALVE GUIDE
Check that the valve moves smoothly
in
the
guide.
Check each valve for bends, burns, scratches, or
abnormal wear.
Measure each valve stem O.D. and record
it.
SERVICE LIMITS: IN/EX: 4.90 mm (0.193 in)
