INSTALLATION
Apply engine oil to the rings and ring grooves [1].
Carefully install the piston rings into the piston ring
grooves with the markings [2] facing up.
NOTE:
• Do not confuse the top ring [3] and second ring [4].
• To install the oil ring, install the spacer [5] first, then
install the side rails [6]. ·
Stagger the piston ring end gaps 120
° apart from each
other.
Stagger the side rail end gaps
as shown.
Apply engine oil
to the connecting rod [1] small end
inner surface.
Apply engine oil to the piston pin
[1] outer surface and
piston
pin hole inner surface.
Install the piston
[2] with the "IN" mark [3] facing the
intake side.
Install the piston pin.
