I.2 Example 2 - Dynamic RPM Gauge Markings Based on Oil Temperature
In this example (Figure I-5), the Red band for the upper end of the existing RPM gauge extends from
5800-6000 RPM. The following steps add a second Red Range Gauge Marking so that the Red range will
be drawn differently, as a function of oil temperature.
If Oil Temperature > 120F, the Red Gauge extends from 5800 - 6000 RPM
If Oil Temperature < 120F, high RPM operations are prohibited, so the Red Gauge extends from
2500 - 6000 RPM
