30.4.9.4 Procedure for Dual AOA Curve Calibration
For aircraft with a Flaps Down Calibration Curve available, an identical set of the 4 previously described
calibration points will be available under the Flaps Down calibration tab. These calibration points are
optional, however if any one of them is calibrated, all 3 required calibration points (Minimum Visible
AOA Calibration, Caution Alert AOA Calibration, Stall Warning AOA Calibration) must be completed.
Approach Target AOA Calibration can optionally be completed for the Flaps Down configuration.
NOTE
For systems that include a flap position sensor or Flaps Down discrete input, calibration
of the flaps down configuration curve is optional. If an installer decides against
calibrating the Flaps Down Curve, it is important that all Flaps Down Calibration points
are left uncalibrated. Use of the procedure outlined in Section 30.4.9.3
is advised for these
aircraft.
