I.3 Example 3 - Takeoff Trim Position Alert
In this example, two invisible gauge markings are applied to sense when elevator trim is outside of the
expected takeoff position range, while on the ground with the engine running.
1. Add a new gauge marking to the RPM gauge.
a) From the RPM configuration page, add a new gauge marking, and set the gauge marking
type to Invisible Range.

b) Change the Mode from Normal to Set Logic Signal
c) Choose an unused Signal identifier (Signal 4 used in this example).
d) Select an RPM range that is representative of the full operating range of the engine. For this
example, the invisible range was set up to extend from 100-3000 RPM. As a result of the
configuration set up in this example, Logic Signal 1 will be ‘set’ anytime the RPM value
falls within this range, which for this engine is the full operating range. Logic signal 1 is
used as a reference to whether the engine is running, no RPM gauge markings visible to the
pilot are modified as a result of this configuration.
e) Touch Save.
f) Touch Save again to return to the Engine and Airframe Menu.
