30.4.32.10 Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)
The EGT inputs on the GEA 24 and GSU 73 support configuration of Type K thermocouples.
If Lean Assist using EGT is desired, change the Lean Assist setting to "Enabled". (see Lean Assist
for
more information).
NOTE
The EGT 6/MISC PRESS input on the GSU 73 has multiple functions. The GSU 73
EGT 6/MISC PRESS input is unavailable for other uses if assigned as an EGT input in the
EGT Configuration menu.
FADEC
: The GEA 24 can be configured to monitor exhaust gas temperature data from the
following FADEC interfaces:
• Rotax (912iS/915iS/916iS)
• Lycoming (iE2)
• ULPower
If two EIS LRUs are configured, up to 6 cylinders may be configured for a twin-engine application, or up
to 12 cylinders for a single engine. In a single-engine application, cylinders 1-6 are connected to EGT 1-6
on EIS LRU #1, and cylinders 7-12 are connected to EGT 1-6 on EIS LRU #2.
NOTE
The EGT 5/6 inputs on the GEA 24 have multiple functions. If EGT configuration is set to
5 or 6 cylinder engine, the TEMP5/6 inputs are unavailable, as those sensor presets use
the same pins and EGT inputs takes precedence.
