mcast root
mcast root
To configure the multicast feature, use the mcast root command in configuration mode. To revert to the
default, use the no form of the command.
mcast root {lowest | principal} vsan vsan-id
no mcast root {lowest | principal} vsan vsan-id
Syntax Description
Defaults principal

Examples The following example shows how to configure the multicast root VSAN.
switch# config terminal
switch(config)# mcast root principal vsan 4001
Related Commands
lowest Specifies the lowest domain switch as root.
principal Specifies the principal switch as root.
vsan vsan-id Specifies the VSAN ID. The range is 1 to 4093.
