Magnet Array Width
Magnet arrays are available in one width. The width is designed to fit within the rails on the
MagneMover LITE motors.
Magnet Array Forces
As mentioned previously, there is a certain amount of thrust force available per magnet array
cycle; however, the number of cycles is not the only variable that affects available thrust.
Other variables are the vehicle gap and the downstream gap. These other variables and their
effect on available thrust are discussed later in this chapter.
Magnet Array Use
The MagneMover LITE magnet arrays are intended for use as the MM LITE motor secondary
as part of the vehicle (puck) only and must not be used for any other purpose.
Protect all magnet arrays on the transport system from debris accumulation. If debris is accu-
mulated, it can get caught between the magnet array and the motor. Any accumulated debris
affects the performance and can damage the cover of the motor or the magnet array, see
Cleaning Magnet Arrays on page 360.
Available Magnet Arrays
The magnet array is only available in the one size that is used on all pucks and precision rail
vehicles (see Figure 4-39 on page 187).
