Replace Wheeled Puck Wear Surfaces, 4-Wheel Pucks
The wheels and other wear points on the pucks must be replaced once they have become worn
due to extended use (typically greater than 8,000 km travel for the lateral guide wheels and
bumpers, and 16,000 km travel for the suspension wheels). This procedure provides instruc-
tions to replace worn wear surfaces on the following wheeled pucks:
• 700-1738-00 – Wheeled Puck Assy, Single.
Required Tools and Equipment
• Wheel, Payload, Urethane, Core, Puck, Wheeled, ML (4X).
• Wheel, Lateral Guide, Urethane, Puck, Wheeled, ML (4X).
• Wheel, Septum, Urethane, Puck, Wheeled (2X).
• Screw, Shoulder, Soc, 5 mm x 23.5 mm, M4 x 0.7, Dri-Loc (2X).
MAGNETIC FIELD HAZARD: Strong magnets in use.
To avoid severe injury, people with pacemakers and other
medical electronic implants must stay away from the magnet
array on the vehicles (pucks).
PINCH/CRUSH HAZARD: Strong magnets in use.
To avoid injury from strong magnetic attractive forces:
• Handle only one vehicle (puck) or magnet array at a time.
• Do not place any body parts (for example, fingers)
between a magnet array and any ferrous material or
another magnet array.
• Vehicles (pucks) and magnet arrays not being used must
be secured individually in isolated packaging.
NOTICE Strong magnets in use.
To avoid damage to watches, instruments, electronics, and
magnetic media, keep metal tools, metal objects, magnetic
media (for example, memory disks/chips, credit cards, and
tapes) and electronics away from the magnet arrays.
