Precision Rail Operation
The precision rail option provides customized precision ground rails in place of the integrated
rails on the standard MagneMover LITE motors. When using the precision rail option, the
precision rails are aligned above the MM LITE railless motors and support the vehicles using
precision sealed bearings.
Setup
Install the precision rails as described in Precision Rail Installation on page 281.
Operation
Operation of the vehicles on the precision rail is the same as operation of vehicles on the stan-
dard integrated rails.
The rails and bearings are an open system that requires continuous lubrication. To avoid
breakdown of the lubrication, the precision rails must always have a thin film of oil across the
entire rail system and the bearings in the vehicles. See Lubricate the Precision Rails on
page 292.
