Precision Locator Maintenance
The precision locator must be inspected periodically to make sure it is operating properly.
Procedure
1. Stop all motion on the sections of the MagneMover LITE transport system where the
precision locators are installed.
2. Make sure that the air pressure at the locator is correct and that the locator is opening
and closing with no binding.
3. Adjust the flow control valve to limit the pinning time to 100 ms or greater if neces-
sary.
4. Visually inspect the air filter for the pneumatic system and clean if necessary.
5. Resume motion on the sections of the MM LITE transport system that were stopped.
PINCH/CRUSH HAZARD
Moving mechanisms have no obstruction sensors.
Do not operate the precision locator without barriers in place
or personal injury could result in the squeezing or compres-
sion of fingers or other body parts between moving mecha-
nisms.
