Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Removal and
Installation

Removal
WARNING
!
Do not remove the HO2 sensor while it is hot.
CAUTION
!
• Be careful not to expose the HO2 sensor to
excessive shock.
• Do not use an impact wrench when
removing or installing the HO2 sensor.
• Be careful not to twist or damage the HO2
sensor lead wires.
1) Lift and support the fuel tank with the prop stay.
Refer to “Fuel Tank Removal and Installation” in
Section 1G (Page 1G-9).
2) Disconnect the HO2 sensor coupler (1).
3) Remove the HO2 sensor (2).
Installation
Install the HO2 sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Pay attention to the following points:
CAUTION
!
Do not apply oil or other materials to the
sensor air hole.
• Tighten the HO2 sensor to the specified torque.
Tightening torque
HO2 sensor (a): 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.0 lbf-ft)

103).
PAIR Reed Valve Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Lift and support the fuel tank with the prop stay.
Refer to “Fuel Tank Removal and Installation” in
Section 1G (Page 1G-9).
2) Remove the air cleaner box. Refer to “Air Cleaner
Box Removal and Installation” in Section 1D
(Page 1D-7).
3) Remove the PAIR control solenoid valve (1) along
with the PAIR reed valve covers (2). Refer to “PAIR
Control Solenoid Valve Removal and Installation”
(Page 1B-9).
