Noisy engine (Noise

piston)
Worn down piston or cylinder. Replace.
Combustion chamber fouled with
carbon.
Clean.
Worn piston pin or piston pin bore. Replace.
Worn piston ring or ring groove. Replace.
Noisy engine (Noise
seems to come from cam
chain)
Stretched cam chain. Replace.
Worn sprocket. Replace.
Cam chain tension adjuster not working. Repair or replace.
Noisy engine (Noise

clutch)
Worn splines of countershaft or hub. Replace.
Worn teeth of clutch plate. Replace.
Distorted clutch plate. Replace.
Worn clutch release bearing. Replace.
Weakened clutch damper. Replace the primary driven gear.
