clear mac address-table
To delete from the MAC address table a specific dynamic address, all dynamic addresses on a particular
interface, all dynamic addresses on stack members, or all dynamic addresses on a particular VLAN, use the
clear mac address-table command in privileged EXEC mode. This command also clears the MAC address
notification global counters.
clear mac address-table {dynamic [address mac-addr | interface interface-id | vlan vlan-id] | move update
| notification}
Syntax Description
Deletes all dynamic MAC addresses.dynamic
(Optional) Deletes the specified dynamic MAC address.
address mac-addr
(Optional) Deletes all dynamic MAC addresses on the specified physical
port or port channel.
interface interface-id
(Optional) Deletes all dynamic MAC addresses for the specified VLAN.
The range is 1 to 4094.
vlan vlan-id
Clears the MAC address table move-update counters.move update
Clears the notifications in the history table and reset the counters.notification
