Re-installation
When re-inserting the development unit,
engage the plate ➀ on the front of the
development unit with the silver pin [A] inside
the machine, then slide it to the left ➁ toward
the drum.
If the unit is installed correctly, you should see
the pin above the plate, and the plate should
be flat against the front of the development
unit.
If the development unit will not move past the
pin, the couplings are not aligned correctly at
the back of the machine. Turn the gear on the
front of the developer unit until the couplings
engage at the rear of the machine.
Before closing the front door, make sure that
the pipe line shutter is rotated down to the
open position.
Replacement with a used Development Unit
When using a development unit from another machine for test purposes, execute
the following procedure.
1. Check the value of SP2220 (Vref Manual Setting) in both the machine
containing the test unit and the machine that you are going to move it to.
2. Install the test development unit, then input the VREF for this unit into SP2220.
3. After the test, reinstall the old development unit, and change SP2220 back to
the original value.
