Heating, ventilating and
cooling
Foul air can quickly cause driver fatigue and reduce
the driver's ability to concentrate, which could lead
to collisions, accidents and serious injuries.
•
Never use the air recirculation for a long
period of time, as no outside air enters the
passenger compartment in the meantime.
•
Use the air recirculation only for a short time.
Otherwise, the windows can fog up very
quickly and make it difficult for the air
recirculation system to
visibility seriously.
•
Switch off the air recirculation when it is not
needed.

Climate control settings can be made in the
infotainment system if the vehicle is equipped with
Climatronic. Some functions are only available
depending on the equipment.
Open the climate control settings in the
infotainment

automatic air recirculation mode
The automatic air recirculation mode helps you,
within the limitations of the system, when the
outside air is of poor quality by temporarily
switching the air inlet on or off. The system cannot
detect unpleasant odours.

The air recirculation is automatically switched off in
the following situations → :
—
If the defrost/defrost function is switched on.
—
When a sensor detects that the vehicle's windows
may fog up.
In vehicles with air conditioning, do not smoke when
the air recirculation is switched on. Smoke can be
deposited on the cooling evaporator as well as on
the dust and pollen filter with activated carbon and
cause unpleasant odours on a permanent basis.
