Spare wheel or emergency wheel

Fit the connector → fig. 192 or
engage it audibly.

Screw on the wheel → fig. 192
until the blo-

The subwoofer must be fixed to the subwoofer
in the opposite direction to the arrow until the
subwoofer is securely fixed.

Place the luggage compartment floor on the
floor covering.

In order to remove the spare wheel, the subwoofer
must first be removed.
Dismantling the subwoofer (variant 1 and variant 2)
— Remove the luggage compartment floor.
Please note at the beginning of this chapter on
page 272.
— Unscrew the arrow

— To unlock connector 2 , press the lock on the
end of the connector.
— Disconnect the

cha and set the cable aside.
— Carefully remove the subwoofer.
Fitting the subwoofer (variant 1)
— Place the subwoofer carefully on the rim base.
The arrowhead "FRONT" → fig. 191
on the subwoofer should point forward.

Removing the spare wheel, in-flat spare wheel or
emergency wheel
— Open the tailgate.

Connect the connector → fig.

— Lift up the luggage compartment floor and remove it.
— Remove the on-board tools together with their
housing.
The subwoofer must be fixed to the subwoofer in
the opposite direction to the arrow until the
subwoofer is securely fixed.

Place the luggage compartment floor on the
floor covering.
Fitting the subwoofer (variant 2)
—
Place the subwoofer carefully on the rim base.
The arrowhead "FRONT" → fig. 192
on the subwoofer should point to in front.
—
Check that the tip of this arrow matches the tip
of the arrow on the toolbox → fig. 192 3 .
— If necessary, remove the subwoofer → p. 274.
— Pull upwards the wedge of the anti-rotation locking
device
→ fig. 193 1 .
— Completely unscrew the central wheel that holds
the spare wheel → fig. 193 2 counterclockwise.
— Remove the spare wheel, inflatable spare wheel
or emergency wheel.
Storing the changed wheel
— Open the tailgate.
— Lift up the luggage compartment floor and remove it.
