Towing
Note and at the beginning of this chapter on page

Previous steps
— Attach the tow rope or tow bar only at the
attachment points provided for this purpose.
→ p. 236.
— Make sure that the tow rope is not twisted.
Otherwise, the towing eye could untwist during
towing.
— Switch on the ignition and hazard warning
flashers on both vehicles. If necessary, observe
any other regulations that may be applicable.
— Observe the towing instructions in the operating
instructions of the other vehicle.
Towing vehicle (front)
— Do not actually start to drive until the cable has
been tightened.
