Checklist
Before working on the engine compartment, always
carry out the following operations in the order →
page 242:
1.
Position the vehicle on level and firm ground,
taking all necessary safety precautions.
2.
Depress the brake pedal and keep it depressed
until the propulsion system is disengaged.
3.
Switch on the electronic parking brake → page
154.
4.
Switch off the propulsion system.
5.
If necessary, remove the vehicle key from the
vehicle and store it outside so that the vehicle
is not operated inadvertently.
6.
Wait for the engine to cool down sufficiently.
7.
Always keep other people away from the front
compartment.
8.
Immobilise the vehicle to prevent it from
rolling away.
