Inattentive locking of doors can result in serious
injury.

When the vehicle is locked from the outside,
the doors and power windows cannot be
opened from the inside.
•
The central locking system locks all doors. By
locking the vehicle from the inside,
unintentional opening of the doors can be
prevented.
The doors can be locked to prevent
unauthorised access and unauthorised entry.
In the event of an emergency or accident,
however, if the doors are locked, it is difficult
to gain access to the interior of the vehicle and
to provide the necessary assistance.

Never leave children or any person who may
be in danger of being injured in the vehicle
unattended in the vehicle.

may be exposed to very high or very low
temperatures.

Depending on the season, very high or very

The central locking control tell-tale is located on
the driver's door.
Locked vehicle: The red LED flashes for approx. 2
seconds in short intervals, then more slowly. The
control indicator does not flash when the vehicle is
locked with the central locking button on the
driver's door → page 70.

To avoid damage to the vehicle, when emergency
locking or unlocking, remove the parts carefully
and reassemble them correctly.

The central locking button only works when all
doors are closed, whether the ignition is switched
on or off.
When the vehicle is locked from the outside with
the key, the central locking buttons do not work.
When locking the vehicle from the inside using the
central locking button, the following must be
