Establishing the connection
When connecting a mobile phone device for the
first time, follow the instructions on the
infotainment screen and on the mobile phone
device.
The requirements for the use of MirrorLink must be
fulfilled.

Function buttons
Function buttons and their function:
You return to the
App-Connect
main menu. Here
you can
end the MirrorLink connection,
connect another mobile phone device or
select another technology.
Press to close open applications. Then press
the applications you want to close or the
function button to close them.
to close all open applications.
Press to display the screen of the mobile
phone device on the infotainment system
screen.
To open the MirrorLink settings.
Press to return to the MirrorLink main menu.
Requirements for MirrorLink
Checklist
The following requirements must be met to use
MirrorLink:
✓ The mobile phone device must be
compatible with MirrorLink.
✓ The mobile phone device must be connected to
the infotainment system via a USB connection
suitable for data transmission.
✓ The USB cable used must be an original cable
from the manufacturer of the mobile phone
device.
✓ Depending on the mobile phone device used,
an application must be installed.

Particularities
The following special features apply to an active
MirrorLink connection:

An active MirrorLink device can be
simultaneously connected via Bluetooth to the
infotainment system.
—
If the MirrorLink device is connected to the
infotainment via Bluetooth, the infotainment
Phone function can be used.
—
A MirrorLink device cannot be used as a media
device in the main Media menu.
—
On the instrument cluster display you can see
data from the Telephone mode.
—
The instrument cluster display does not show any
indication of turning or Me- dia mode.
—
With the multifunction steering wheel you can
accept or reject incoming calls as well as end
an ongoing telephone conversation.

at Volkswagen dealers you will get
information on technical requirements, supported
mobile devices, certified applications and
availability.
