closing

Activating and deactivating the child lock

When the vehicle is locked, the "safe" security
system disables the door locks and thus makes it

Deactivating the "safe" security system
The "safe" security system can be deactivated in
one of the following ways:
— Press on the vehicle key again.

— For vehicles with Keyless Access: Touch the
sensor surface on the outside of the door
handle again within 2 seconds.

— Switch on the ignition.
— OR: deactivate the passenger compartment

Depending on the equipment, before locking the
vehicle, temporarily deactivate the passenger
compartment surveillance and the anti-trailer
system in the infotainment system's vehicle settings
menu.

The instrument cluster display may show an
indication that the "safe" safety system is active.
When the safety system "safe" is deactivated, the
following must be taken into account:
— The vehicle can be unlocked and opened from
the inside with the door handle.
— The burglar alarm is active → p. 73.
— The passenger compartment surveillance and
the anti-lock braking system are deactivated

If the "safe" safety system is used carelessly or
