Regulation of the scope of
lights
If the vehicle is heavily loaded, the headlamps
could dazzle and distract other road users. This
can lead to accidents and serious injury.

Always adjust the light beam according to the
vehicle's load condition so that it does not
shine on other road users.

With the headlamp levelling function, the dipped
beam can be adapted to the vehicle's state of
charge. This provides the driver with optimum
visibility without dazzling oncoming traffic → .
Depending on the equipment, the range of the
lights can be adjusted using the infotainment
system's slider → fig. 88.
Manual headlamp range adjustment
Adjustment with the touch control of the
infotainment system:

Dynamic headlamp levelling
On vehicles with dynamic headlamp range control it
is not possible to adjust the headlamp range

On vehicles where it is not possible to change the
headlamp alignment in the menu, certain areas of the
headlamps must be covered with decals or the
headlamps must be ordered
The headlamp alignment should be changed by a
specialist workshop. Further information can be
obtained from a specialist workshop. Volkswa- gen
recommends a Volkswagen dealership for this
purpose.

Problems and solutions
Indicator indicator control lamp
The control lamp flashes green.

malfunctions or does not work properly, the

users. This can lead to accidents and serious
injuries.
