Infotainment
Introduction to the topic
The infotainment central computer is
interconnected with the control units installed in
the vehicle. There is therefore a serious risk of
accident and injury if the central computer is
repaired or removed and installed incorrectly.
•
Never replace the mainframe with a used,
recycled or end-of-life vehicle mainframe.
•
Have the repair or removal and installation of
the central computer carried out by a specialist
workshop only. Volkswagen recommends
for this purpose to a Volkswagen dealer.

First steps
The infotainment functions and settings depend on
the country and equipment.
Before first use
Before using the device for the first time, please note
the following points in order to take full advantage
of the functions and settings provided:
— Observe basic safety warnings→ p. 186.
— Reset the infotain- ment to factory settings.
— Search for and store your favourite radio
stations on the preset keys so that you can
tune in quickly → p. 199.
— Use only suitable audio sources and data
carriers → p. 203.
— Use current maps for navigation.
— Pair a mobile phone device in order to be able
to make calls via the telephone interface → p.
211.
— Register with Volkswagen We Connect to access
the relevant services.

your vehicle.

the vehicle. There is therefore a serious risk of
accident and injury if the radio is repaired or
disassembled and installed incorrectly.
