If the ignition is switched on and started and the
driver's door is opened, warning signals sound in the
cases described below:

If the parking light is switched on.

If the parking light or rear
fog
lamp
is on.
When the "Coming Home" function is activated, no
audible warning will sound when the vehicle is
started to indicate that the lights are still on.
Some settings can be saved in the user
accounts of the personalisation function.

account is changed → p. 32.

Switch on the ignition and switch on the dipped

centre position to the desired position → fig. 86:
The main beam comes on.
The light flashes are activated or the main
beam is switched off. The light flashes
remain on as long as the lever is pulled.
When the high beam or flashing lights are on, the
blue indicator light in the instrument cluster
illuminates.
High beam assistant
Depending on the equipment, the vehicle may be
equipped with a dynamic high beam assistant → p.
92.
High beam assistant
The high beam assistant automatically avoids
dazzling oncoming or oncoming vehicles in the
same direction. In addition, the high beam assistant
normally detects illuminated areas and switches off
the high beam when passing through towns, for
example.
Within its limitations, the assistant connects
automatically switches the main beam on or off
depending on the ambient and driving conditions
and speed → p. 93.
The high beam assistant can be activated
and deactivate in the infotainment system's vehicle
settings menu if the corresponding equipment is
available → p. 29.
Switching on the high beam assistant

Switch on the ignition and the automatic

From the basic position, press the indicator and
high beam lever forwards.
When the high beam is on, the indicator light
in the instrument cluster display
illuminates. When the high beam assistant is active,
the blue high beam indicator light in the instrument
cluster display illuminates.
Adjusting the sensitivity of the
driving
light
assistant
Depending on the country concerned, the
sensitivity of the high beam assistant can be set in
two levels:

the sensitivity: Press the indicator and high
beam lever forwards from the starting
position and hold it in this
position for approx. 15 seconds.
The indicator light flashes three
times in theinstrument cluster as
confirmation.

Resetting the standard sensitivity setting: Press
the indicator and high beam lever forwards from
the starting position and hold it in this position
for approx. 15 seconds. The indicator light
flashes three times (briefly) in the instrument
panel as confirmation. OR: Switch off the
ignition and switch it on again.
The Committee is of the opinion that this is a very
important issue.

If the main beam is not used correctly, accidents
and serious injuries could occur.
