Perform an emergency locking and
unlocking of the door of the control
unit.
Emergency locking of the front
passenger door and the rear
doors
The doors can be opened from the inside by pulling
the door handle. The indicator light
in the button
goes out. Doors that do not open and the tailgate
remain locked and cannot be opened from the
outside.

When the vehicle is locked manually, all doors are
generally locked. When unlocking manually,
however, only the driver's door is unlocked. Please
note the information on the burglar alarm → p.
73.
— Pull on the door handle and do not let go until
you have finished dismantling the door cover.
— Insert the key blade or emergency key from the
bottom into the notch in the driver's door handle.
— Hold your index finger under the key bit.
— Release the cap by levering the key in the
direction of the arrow → fig. 61.
— Insert the key blade into the lock cylinder and
unlock or lock the vehicle.
— Pull the door handle out of the door and refit the
cap.
Special feature when manually unlocking the door
— An alarm is triggered when the driver's door
is opened → p. 73.
— After unlocking, an emergency start must be
carried out → p. 116.
— Switch on the ignition to switch off the alarm.
The electronic immobiliser recognises the key if it is
valid.
The anti-theft alarm is not triggered by
manually locking the vehicle with the key
fob.

The passenger door and rear doors can be locked
separately manually. In this case, the anti-theft
alarm is not activated → p. 73.
— Open the door.
— Remove the rubber seal from the front of the door.
— Insert the key bit or the emergency key
into the key slot and turn it → fig. 62.
— Refasten the rubber gasket.
— Check if the door is locked.
The manually locked door is unlocked by unlocking
the vehicle or opening the door from the inside.
