If the driver is distracted it can lead to an
accident and injury.
•
Only make presettings in the stopwatch and
consult the statistics when the vehicle is
stopped.
•
When driving, do not operate the chronometer
in difficult driving situations.
Setting the time on the
analogue
instrument panel
1.
To set the time (of all clocks in the vehicle),
press and hold on the instrument panel
until Time → p. 17 appears on the instrument
panel display.
2.
Release the button . The time is shown on
the instrument panel display and the hours
field is marked.
3.
Immediately afterwards, press the key as
many times as necessary until the desired
time is displayed. To fast forward, press and
hold .
4.
When you have finished setting the hours,
wait until the minutes field is marked on the
display of the input box.
5.
Immediately afterwards, press the key as
many times as necessary until the desired
minutes are displayed. To fast forward, press
and hold .
6.
To finish setting the time, release the key .
Setting the time on the digital instrument cluster
1.
Open the Service menu → p. 26.
2.
Select the
Time
menu.
3.
Set the correct time with the keys or .
It is not possible to display the time on the digital
instrument panel for technical reasons.
Stopwatch
The following list shows the menu structure of the
instrument cluster display as an example. The
actual number of menus available and the
designation of the various options in these menus
depend on the version of the instrument cluster and
the vehicle's electronics.
Menus and functions
Stopwatch menu
Start The timing of a lap begins.
From the start The timing starts when the vehicle
starts moving. If the vehicle is already in
motion, the timing starts when the vehicle
starts running after having made a stop.
Statistics An overview of all the laps timed so far is
displayed.
Return Menu
Stop The current timing is interrupted. The lap is not
finished.
Continue Interrupted timing continues.
Part time A part time is displayed for approx. 5
seconds. The current timing continues in
parallel.
New lap The timing of the current lap is stopped and
a new lap is started. The time of the
completed lap is included in the statistics.
Interr. lap The timing is terminated and deleted.
The current lap is not included in the
statistics.
Finish Ends the timing. The lap is included in the
statistics.

If equipped accordingly, the stopwatch → p. 27
can be displayed in the instrument cluster display.
The stopwatch offers the possibility to manually
time the vehicle's lap times on a race track, to
memorise them and to compare them with
previously measured best times.

Press the o on the multifunction
steering wheel.
Reset to zero All stored statistical data are reset to
zero.
In the Statistics menu, the times of the last laps are
displayed. When the maximum of 99 laps or a total
duration of 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds is
reached, a new timing can only be started by first
resetting the statistics.
