Various situations
If the jumper cables are used improperly and the
starting aid is used incorrectly, the 12-volt battery
may explode and cause serious injury. To reduce
this risk of explosion, observe the following:

Lay the jumper cables in such a way that they
never come into contact with rotating parts of
the front end.
WARNING
Never confuse the positive pole with the
negative pole and never connect the jumper
cables in the same way.
Observe the manufacturer's operating
instructions for the jumper cables.

If the engine cannot be started because the 12-volt
battery is discharged, the 12-volt battery of another
vehicle can be used for this purpose.
Suitable jumper cables are required for the
starting aid.
The cross-section of the jumper cables must be:

To avoid considerable damage to the vehicle's
electrical system, please note the following:
If the jumper cables are connected incorrectly, a
short-circuit may occur.
Use only jumper cables with fully insulated
clamps.
Do not allow the vehicles to come into contact
with each other, otherwise current may start to
flow as soon as the positive poles are
connected.
