Introduction to the topic
The reversing assistant camera mounted at the
rear of the vehicle provides the driver with a
clear view to the rear and assists with parking.
Vehicles with tilting emblem: When the reversing
camera comes out, crushing injuries can occur.

When engaging reverse gear, make sure that
there is no one directly behind the vehicle.
The Volkswagen emblem on the luggage
compartment lid may be in the operating area
of the Volkswagen emblem.
The automatic connection only occurs once. It is
possible to reactivate the automatic connection as
follows:

Switch the ignition off and then on again.

Connect
Engage reverse gear.
Disconnect
The reverse gear assistant is switched off when reverse
gear is disengaged.
Operation
The reversing assistant shows the area behind the
vehicle on the display of the infotainment system.
Guidance lines make it easier to see to the rear.

and only works within the limits of the systems.
Failure to take this into account can lead to
accidents, serious injuries and damage to the
