rrectly.
Vehicle occupants who are not properly
seated, not wearing a seat belt or not keeping
an inadequate distance from the vehicle, or
who are not wearing a seat belt, shall not be
allowed to enter the vehicle.
The airbags are not sufficient with respect to the
airbag, they are in danger of very serious or
fatal injuries, especially if the airbags are
triggered and hit.

Failure to wear a seat belt or wearing it incorrectly
increases the risk of serious or fatal injury. Seat
belts only provide optimum protection if they are
worn correctly. Sitting in the wrong position
considerably reduces the protective function of the
seat-belt and can result in serious or even fatal
injuries. The risk of serious injury

between the driver and the steering wheel, correct
positioning of the belt webbing and correct adjustment
of the head restraint.
The correct positions for the driver and passengers
are given below.
Persons who are unable to assume the correct
seating position due to physical conditions should
ask a specialist workshop about the possibility of
special modifications. Seat belts and airbags only
provide optimum protection if the vehicle is seated
in the correct position. Volkswagen recommends
that the following be carried out for this purpose
to a Volkswagen dealer.
For your own safety and to reduce injury in the
event of braking or an accident, Volkswagen re-
commends the following adjustments:
Valid for all occupants of the vehicle:
Adjust the head restraint so that the top edge of
the head restraint is level with the top of the
head, but not below the eyes. Always keep the
back of the head restraint at the back of the
head.
