Selection of the driving profile
Adjusting the driving profile while driving can
distract attention from traffic and lead to
accidents.

Always drive with attention to traffic
and in a responsible manner.
If ECO mode is selected while driving, the
vehicle's
systems, except
Propulsion
,
will immediately be
set to
the new profile.

To activate the ECO mode also for the
propulsion
system, briefly take your foot off the
accelerator
when the traffic situation permits.
Switching on and off
In the Normal driving profile, the basic settings of the
vehicle systems are used with the ignition switched
on.
- To switch on ECO mode, press

Behaviour of driving profiles at
When ECO mode is switched on, the LED in the
button lights up yellow and a message is shown in
the instrument cluster display.
- To switch off the ECO mode, press again
Eco: Sets the vehicle for low fuel
consumption and helps you to adopt a fuel-
saving driving style. The Eco driving profile
automatically switches to the E driving
programme.
Normal: This driving profile uses the basic
settings of the vehicle systems and offers an
intermediate setting, e.g. for everyday use.
Sport: Gives you a sporty driving feel. If the
vehicle is equipped with an automatic
transmission and you select the Sport profile,
you switch to the S driving programme.
Individual
: You can adapt certain
vehicle
systems
to your personal preferences.
In the special sporty versions of the vehicle,
the Sport driving profile is also available in the
can call Race.
switching the ignition off and on
When you switch the ignition off and on again,
the previously selected driving profile remains
selected.
In special sporty versions of the vehicle, if you
switch the ignition off and then on again, it will be
selected from the Sport driving profile.
Behaviour of the vehicle system
Propulsion
when
switching the ignition off and on
The settings of the
Propulsion
system change to
those of the
Normal profile as soon as the ignition
is switched off and on again.
You can re-activate the
Propulsion
system with the
desired profile settings as follows:

Reselect the desired driving profile.

OR: to reactivate the Sport profile settings, push
the automatic gearshift selector lever backwards
to select the S driving programme.
The other vehicle systems maintain the settings
when the ignition is switched off and on again.
In the special sports versions of the vehicle, the
settings of the Propulsion system change to those of
the Sport profile as soon as the ignition is switched
off and on again.
