Wheels and tyres
The Committee of the Regions is pleased to see that
the Commission's proposal is not only a political one
but also country-specific
.
Low profile tyres
Compared to other rim and tyre combinations, low
profile tyres have a wider tread and a larger rim
diameter with a low sidewall height.
→ Low-profile tyres improve handling properties
and precision. However, comfort can be affected on
roads where the tyres are not
and roads in poor condition.
Tyres subject to unidirectional rolling
The sidewalls of tyres with one-way tyres are
marked with arrows. It is imperative that the
indicated direction of rotation is observed. This
ensures optimum running characteristics .
