Risk of false alarms from habitat surveillance
The passenger compartment monitoring will only
work properly if the vehicle is completely closed.
Observe the legal regulations. A false alarm may
occur in the following situations:

If any windows or the glass roof are partially
or completely open.
—
If light objects are left in the vehicle, e.g. loose
or hanging papers in the rear-view mirror.
—
If the vibration function of a mobile phone left
inside the vehicle is activated.
It is not possible to permanently deactivate
the passenger compartment surveillance and
the anti-theft system.

If, when the burglar alarm is triggered, a
door or the gate of the vehicle is still open,
the burglar alarm will be activated.
If the doors and tailgate are closed, only the alarm
will be activated. The passenger compartment
surveillance and the anti-trailer system shall only
be activated after all doors and the tailgate have
been closed.

system are switched off, the

If individual opening of doors or one side of the
vehicle is activated in the opening settings
and locking of the infotainment system, the key
on the vehicle key must be pressed twice to
unlock the tailgate.
In vehicles with the "Keyless Access" system, the
sensing surface on the inside of the driver's or
passenger door handle must be operated twice.
Luggage compartment door
The tailgate is unlocked and locked together with
the doors.
If the tailgate is unlocked or opened
inappropriately or without due care, serious
injury may result.

If the tailgate is fitted with a luggage rack and
a luggage carrier, it is not always possible to
see whether the tailgate is without a luggage
compartment.
