Transporting children safely
Only attach the seat belt to the belt loops provided
for this purpose. Failure to do so could result in
serious injury.

Hook only one top tether strap into each
attachment eye.
•
Never attach a child seat belt to a tether eye.

In addition to being attached to the ISOFIX anchorage
points, ISOFIX child seats with "universal" approval
must also be secured with a top tether belt (Top
Tether).
Only attach the seat belt to the belt anchorage
eyelets provided for this purpose. The belt loops
that are suitable for attaching the Top Tether belt
are marked with a symbol and, if necessary, with
the words "TOP TETHER".

If possible, raise the vehicle seat head restraint
as far as it will go or remove it.

Position the child seat centrally on the vehicle
seat bench.
—
Insert the child seat connectors into the ISOFIX
anchorages in the direction of rotation→ p. 57.
The child seat must engage securely and audibly.

If necessary, remove the luggage compartment
cover.
—
Route the child seat's top tether belt rearwards
towards the luggage compartment and hook it
into the rear seat backrest attachment eye
marked Top Tether.

Tighten the top tether belt so that the top of the
child seat is against the rear seat backrest.
Depending on the market and the model,
there may be two or three fastening rings on
the top of the model.
