Requirements for the operation of parking systems
157
Intelligent parking system technology cannot
overcome the limits imposed by the laws of
physics and only works within the limits of the
systems. Never allow the increased comfort
provided by parking systems to induce you to
take risks that compromise safety. Parking
systems cannot replace the driver's attention.
Always adapt your speed and driving style to
the visibility, weather, road and traffic
conditions.
Always monitor the parking manoeuvre and the
vehicle's surroundings.
Please note that the reaction times of parking
systems may not be sufficient to issue a
warning in the event of an emergency.
too rapid an approach.
Always keep an eye on the vehicle's
surroundings and watch out for small children,
animals and objects.
Don't be distracted from traffic by the parking
system's indications.
WARNING
Camera lenses magnify and distort the field of
vision. The image cannot accurately estimate the
distance between people and obstacles, which
can lead to accidents and serious injuries.
Do not rely solely on the representation of the
chambers.
WARNING
In parking spaces without a kerb, keep a distance
of 50 cm from the parking space.

accompanied by acoustic signals. The display may
vary depending on the situation.
The collision zone is reached when the penultimate
segment is displayed, at the latest. Do not continue
driving!
All equipment and representations are described
without specifying whether they are optional
equipment or model versions. The availability of
these systems depends on the equipment of the
vehicle.
