Relative tyre life according to a specific tyre test standard of
USA. USA. A tyre with the 280 index wears 2.8 times faster than the
reference tyre with a Treadwear index of 100. Actual tyre performance
depends on the conditions in which the tyres are used and can differ
considerably from the standard values depending on driving behaviour,
tyre maintenance, road and weather conditions.
