Other indications:
—
Please note the information provided by the car
wash operator, especially if the vehicle is fitted
with accessories such as pins → .
—
Preferably use washing systems that use
brushless textile washing elements.
—
If the vehicle is fitted with decorative and pro-
tection films, do not select a hot wax wash
programme.
—
Also order regular washing
thoroughly underneath the vehicle to remove
debris.
Dirt containing aggressive components
or solvents can irreparably damage vehicle
equipment such as seat upholstery or decorative
parts, even if they are cleaned quickly.
•
Do not allow the dirt to dry.
•
Have stubborn stains cleaned by a specialised
cleaner.
Washing the vehicle
In order to properly and adequately wash your
vehicle, please note the following information
→ , → .
Automatic washing installations
✓ The windows are closed and the door mirrors
are folded down.
✓ Vehicles with steering column lock: If the
vehicle is mechanically towed in the automatic
car wash system (car wash), the steering
column must never be locked → page 132.
✓ The windscreen wipers → p. 97 and the rain
and light sensor → p. 98 are switched off.

Observe the manufacturer's instructions and
under no circumstances use rotating nozzles.
→ !

Only use water at a temperature below +60 °C
(+140 °F).

not clean them with high-pressure cleaning
equipment.
—
Move the water jet evenly, keeping the nozzle at
a distance of 50 cm.
(20 inches) minimum with respect to vehicle
parts.
—
Do not direct the water jet for a long time at the
same point.

As far as possible, do not direct the water jet at
rubber seals or other sensitive parts of the
vehicle, e.g. windows, shiny wheels, tyres,

Conservation
Good maintenance protects the vehicle's paintwork.
If the water no longer forms visible beads on the
clean paintwork, the vehicle should be returned to
its original state of preservation.
Vehicle care products can be toxic and dangerous.
The use of unsuitable care products or their
inappropriate use can lead to accidents, injuries,
burns and serious poisoning.
•
Store products for preservation only in their
original, tightly closed containers.
•
Observe the information in the package leaflet.
•
Keep storage products out of the reach of
children.
•
To avoid inhalation of harmful vapours, apply
preservation products only in the open air or in
well ventilated rooms.
•
Never use turpentine, engine oil, malt
remover or any other liquid that evaporates
when preserving the vehicle.
