After washing the vehicle, the braking
performance may be reduced and the braking
distance may increase because the brake discs and
pads are wet or even congealed in winter.

Cautiously perform some braking to "dry and
free the brakes from ice". When doing so

Maintenance and cleaning of the
exterior
of the vehicle
The vehicle should be protected with a good wax
preservative.
Even if a wax preservative is regularly applied to
the automatic car wash system, Volkswagen
recommends protecting the vehicle's paintwork with
Original Volkswagen hard wax.

Polishing
Polishing is only necessary when the vehicle's
paintwork has lost its shine and cannot be
restored with care products. .
Do not polish matt painted surfaces! If the
paintwork is polished, the surface will be irreparably
damaged.
Washing matt painted vehicles
If the vehicle has matt-painted surfaces, hand-
washing or in washing facilities using textile
washing elements without applying wax, the
vehicle shall be washed by hand or in washing

Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Do not wash the vehicle in direct sunlight.

If the outside temperatures are low, never direct
the water jet directly at the doors or tailgate.
