Problems and solutions
Brake system failure
The warning lamp lights up red. A message may
also be displayed.

brake system to be checked.
Brake pad wear indicator
The control lamp lights up yellow.
Front brake pads are worn.

Start and stop the
engine
Ignition lock

When there is no vehicle key in the ignition
switch, the steering column lock may be
activated.
Vehicle key positions → fig. 102:
Ignition switched off. The key can be
removed.
Ignition switched on. The steering lock can
be released.
Depress the brake pedal if the warning
light is green. lights up green.
Start the engine. When the engine has
started, release the remote control key.
When released, the remote control key
