The content of the on-board toolkit depends on the
country and equipment:
Screwdriver with hexagon socket in the handle
for unscrewing and screwing in previously
loosened wheel bolts. The screwdriver is a
combination screwdriver. It may be located
under the wheel spanner.
Adapter for anti-theft wheel bolts. Volkswagen
recommends that the wheel bolt adapter is
always carried in the vehicle together with the
on-board tools. The code for anti-theft wheel
bolts is engraved on the front of the adapter.
With this code, it is possible to obtain a
replacement adapter in the event of loss. It is
therefore advisable to make a note of this code
and keep it somewhere outside the vehicle.
