When locking the vehicle, never leave a child
or any person who may need help inside the
vehicle. In the event of an emergency

Never remove the key from the ignition lock

extended and locked.

Do not attach objects weighing more than
100 g (3.5 oz) in total to the vehicle key.
Any accidental movement of the vehicle can cause

the brake, otherwise the engine will start
immediately.
With the ignition switched on and the engine
switched off, the 12-volt battery can be discharged
unintentionally, which would prevent it from
being able to be returned to its original state.

Automatic ignition disengagement for
vehicles with
Start-Stop system
The vehicle ignition is automatically switched off
when the vehicle is stationary and the automatic
engine shutdown is active if the following conditions
are met simultaneously:

The driver's seat belt is unbuckled.
—
No pedal is depressed.
—
The driver's door opens.
After the ignition has been switched off
automatically, if thedipped beam is
switched on, the position lightremains on and
switches off automatically after approx. 30
minutes.
The position lamp is also switched off if the vehicle
is locked or if it is switched off manually.
Engine restart function
If no valid key is detected in the passenger
compartment after the engine has been switched
off, the engine can be restarted within approx. 5
seconds. A warning will appear on the instrument
panel display.
After this time the engine cannot be restarted if
there is no valid key in the passenger
compartment.
The ignition and start button replaces the
ignition lock (Press & Drive).
