Incorrect handling of engine oil can cause severe
burns and other injuries.
Always wear eye protection when working
with engine oil.
Engine oil is toxic and should be kept out of
the reach of children.
Store the engine oil only in the original, tightly
closed container. Keep this also in mind with
used oil until you take it back to the

workshop is not available, you can use another
engine oil in an emergency. To avoid damaging the
engine, you can top up the engine oil until the next
oil change.

Changing the engine oil and filter requires special
tools and knowledge, and it is essential that the
used oil is disposed of correctly. Therefore, always
have the engine oil and filter changed by a
specialist workshop. Volkswagen recommends a
Volkswagen dealership for this purpose.
