Field winding check
1. Field winding continuity check. With an ohm-
meter, check the continuity between windings B
and C D.
In case there is no continuity, replace the brush
unit and/or windings. Field winding check.
2. Field winding short circuit test. With an ohmme-
ter, make the connection between the brush and
the relevant support. If there is continuity, replace
the brush unit and/or windings.

Brush check
Brush length check
Measure the brush length, with a sliding gauge.
Brush replacement
If the length is shorter than the minimum value re-
quired, replace the brushes.
