1. Check the valve spring obliquity, with a carpen-
ter's square.
Characteristic
Valve spring maximum out of square
< 1.6 mm
KEY:
B = Lower than 1.6 mm
If the inclination exceeds the maximum limit, replace the valve spring.
2. With the special tool measure the unloaded length and tension of the valve spring.
