b) Check that there is air continuity in the pipe on
the activated carbon filter side by blowing air into
the pipe on the fuel tank side.
c) Check there is air continuity by applying a neg-
ative pressure to the pipe on the activated carbon
filter side using the MityVac device.
In cases in which there is no air continuity, replace
the valve with a new one.
F. Fit the valve on the upper side of the fuel tank.
I. Reconnect the rubber pipes and fit the new bracket.

1. Check that the fixing nuts are not loose. Tighten
the catalytic converter nuts again, if necessary.

AFTER TIGHTENING THE NUTS, CHECK
THAT NO EXHAUST FUMES LEAK THROUGH
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FLANGE.
•
IF EXHAUST FUME LEAKS ARE DETECTED,
REPLACE THE GASKET.
Check that the exhaust pipe attachment is not
loose.
Locking torques (N*m)
Catalytic converter fixing nuts 39 ÷ 54
Check that the oxygen sensor (lambda probe) is not loose.
Tighten it, if necessary.
